UK Country Music Awards presented by UKCountryRadio.com

About the UK Country Music Awards

The UK Country Music Awards are presented by UKCountryRadio.com to celebrate the best in UK country music.

The Awards are:

  • UK Country Artist Of The Year – the top award for a country music artist
  • UK Country Album Of The Year
  • UK Female Country Singer Of The Year
  • UK Male Country Singer Of The Year
  • UK Country Duo Of The Year
  • UK Country Group Of The Year – for an artist comprising three or more individuals
  • The UKCountryRadio.com Song Award
  • The Gary Perkins Angel Award

The Awards are open to all British and Irish country music artists – or artists of other nationalities who are based in either the UK or Ireland.

To be eligible for UK Country Album Of The Year, the album must include at least eight songs and must have been released since the beginning of the year before the Awards.

The UKCountryRadio.com Song Award is an award for a song promoted through UKCountryRadio.com’s Artist Promotion Packages. Get details about the Artist Promotion Packages on UKCountryRadio.com.

The Gary Perkins Angel Award is named after the late UK country music singer Gary Perkins and his song “Angel On My Shoulder”.

The Award winners are decided by two rounds of voting.

Round one takes place between the spring and the summer. Round two takes place between the summer and the autumn. The exact dates will be published on this website and on UKCountryRadio.com’s social channels.

In round one, anyone can vote for any artist. This determines the Finalists.

In round two, the Finalists will be voted on by UKCountryRadio.com’s long-term Gold, Silver and Bronze Subscribers, the Award Sponsors and UKCountryRadio.com’s team of presenters.

Five finalists will be identified in each Award category after the first round of voting, based on the number of votes received – with the exceptions of UK Country Artist Of The Year where there will be ten finalists and The Gary Perkins Angel Award where there will be three finalists. In the event of a tie, further finalists will be identified.

For The Gary Perkins Angel Award, the finalists will be determined by a UKCountryRadio.com panel after reading the nominations.

To be eligible to vote in round two, Gold Silver and Bronze Subscribers must have had their subscription in place since the end of the December prior to the year of the Awards. To start a UKCountryRadio.com Gold, Silver or Bronze Subscription for as little as £2 per month click here.

In the event of a tie after the second round of voting, the winner will be determined by taking the number of votes received in the first round of voting into account.

An artist can only be a finalist in one of UK Male Country Singer Of The Year, UK Female Country Singer Of The Year, UK Country Duo Of The Year or UK Country Group Of The Year. In the event of being voted into the final of more than one category, then the artist will only become a finalist in the category for which they received the most votes. This may happen if an artist appears as a solo performer and fronting a group for example.

People may only vote once for The UK Country Music Awards. All votes are double and triple checked. The Awards organisers will discount all votes of anyone who votes more than once. Our decision will be final on this.
